Grove Music is proud to be sponsoring an Open Jam Night the last Sunday
of every month at Tiare's
Sports Bar and Grill. This month it will be April 27, 2008,
and next month will be May 25, 2008. Here's an opportunity
to sit in and jam
with the house band or come up and do a few songs by yourself or with
your own band. Rock and blues is the house band specialty, but they are
open to anything. Fred Oshiro and his jazz pals open the night. Sign up
starts at 6 pm, first come first serve, but we try to accomodate
everyone. Bring your own instrument--guitar
amplifiers and drums are provided. Cost is free.
This year is Coconut Grove Music's 20th year of existence. Check back here for special events celebrating 20 years in Hawaii.
In other events in the past, Fender's Phil Short demonstrates one of the fine Fender basses at our Fender 60th Anniversary Party that was held on October 18, 2006 upstairs in the old store. Phil will be back this August for another Fender event, so stay tuned.
We also gave away a brand new Danelectro guitar with Natural Vibrations, Hawaii's premier reggae band. Go to their website for details to see who won that. Stay tuned for other giveaways.
